Epic unveiled the next Epic free game, and it’s a rather timely one. From Oct. 20, 2022, through Oct. 27, 2022, you can get Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition for absolutely nothing on the Epic Games Store. It marks the debut of Bethesda’s classic RPG series on the Epic Games Store, and the announcement of the free PC game comes just as Fallout 3 is celebrating its 13th birthday.
Since Fallout 3 on Epic is the GOTY edition, it comes with all five add-on packs that include new campaigns, increased level caps, and even a fight against aliens in space, because why not.
Fallout 3 brought the series back to life after a decade-long hiatus and added several Bethesda staples to the post-apocalyptic survival game. While you still have to manage resources and navigate the dangers of a nuclear hellscape, you also build relationships and decide whether to promote justice in the untamed urban wilderness or side with the forces of chaos.
Evoland: Legendary Edition accompanies Fallout 3 as another of the store’s free games for the week. The bundle includes Evoland and its sequel, both of which are billed as distinct RPGs that take players through the history of game design. Progressing through Evoland unlocks new mechanics and visual improvements as you graduate from 8-bit graphics to modern 3D.
Meanwhile, you can still grab Toejam & Earl: Back in the Groove for free until Oct. 20, 2022.
