Argentina has opened a new front in its dispute with Britain over the Falkland Islands by targeting an Israeli company leading a $2.1 billion (£1.6 billion) offshore oil development.
Navitas Petroleum controls 65 per cent of the Sea Lion project, which aims to begin producing oil north of the Falklands in 2028. British company Rockhopper Exploration owns the remaining 35 per cent.
