An abseil at the Falkirk Wheel has led to £18,000 being raised for a Spina Bifida charity.
Brave fundraisers climbed to the top of the 35-metre boat lift on Sunday, March 20, to raise funds for Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland.
Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus is a form of the spinal condition whereby there is a build-up of extra fluid both in and around the brain.
Pictures show family and friends support their loved ones from the ground as they abseiled down towards the Forth and Clyde Canal.
A spokesperson for Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland announced how much had been raised the following day.
They wrote on the charity's social media page: "Wow!!!! What can we say.....
"A huge thank you to everyone that participated in The Falkirk Wheel abseil yesterday, it was lovely to meet you all.
"The sun was shining and the atmosphere was electric.
"Drum roll.... we have raised £18,000 for the charity with more coming in as we speak."
Those who are now looking for another challenge or who missed the event can now head through to Glasgow.
Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland's next event will be 'Zipslide the Clyde' between Friday, September 16 to Sunday, September 18.
Taking place from the Riverside Museum, more details are available here.
