Falkirk singer-songwriter's festival return and sharing stage with Wet Wet Wet

A singer-songwriter from Falkirk has told how she felt "lost" during lockdown because she was unable to perform.

Dionne Hickey is now gearing up for her first big gig since 2019 after not being able to perform at Vibration Festival because she contracted coronavirus.

But her buzz is back after being asked to share a stage with the likes of Wet Wet Wet and Midge Ure at Breakout Festival in Kirkcaldy in May.

Dionne will also be supporting Callum Beattie in Styx Nightclub in Kirkcaldy on June 11.

She said: "I felt so lost during the pandemic not being able to perform and was so disappointed when I tested positive for covid and couldn't host and perform at Vibration festival.

"I'm really excited to get back into it with gigs like this."

"I'm so lucky to be able to do what I love along side such amazing performers."

"It's going to be a great weekend and I think people are excited to get back to some normality."
