Falcons fans weren’t the only ones frustrated watching the team’s 23-7 loss to the Jaguars in Week 4. Wide receiver Mack Hollins appeared to be visibly irritated on the sidelines as the team’s offense unraveled.
The team fell apart after quarterback Desmond Ridder threw two straight interceptions in the second quarter. After throwing a pick-six, Ridder forced the ball into coverage over the middle on the very next play for another interception.
The camera caught what looked like a fiery exchange between Ridder and Hollins on the sidelines (although Hollins would later say it was not directed at Ridder). Judge for yourself below.

Regardless of what Hollins said during that moment, he wasn’t about to throw his QB under the bus after the game. During an interview with FOX-5 reporter Miles Garrett, Hollins said he didn’t have any kind of fiery exchange with Ridder and that he’s just a passionate player.

Hollins had a right to be frustrated, and the team needs more players who are willing to take it upon themselves to try and stop the bleeding when things are going bad. Sometimes, it’s simply a vote of confidence. Other times, it takes a little more fire.
For what it’s worth, Ridder did throw a touchdown pass on the opening drive of the second half. Unfortunately, that would be the team’s only touchdown of the game.
The Falcons will look to bounce back in Week 5 when the Houston Texans come to Atlanta.
