The NFL has revealed all 32 nominees for the 2024 Walton Payton Man of the Year award and the Atlanta Falcons have nominated veteran defensive lineman Grady Jarrett.
“The Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award is the league’s most revered honor, recognizing players who excel on the field and demonstrate a steadfast commitment to creating a positive impact beyond the game,” NFL.com writes.
Jarrett, 31, has spent all 10 of his seasons in Atlanta. This is his second time being nominated for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award. Jarrett has been one of the most consistent defensive players on the field but has made just as big an impact off the field with his work in the community.
He continues to pour into his “Big Men Don’t Bully” campaign in which he hosts education workshops with open discussions on recognizing bullying traits to develop a community-wide anti-bullying strategy. This year, he has hosted three anti-bullying pep rallies throughout schools in Atlanta with this campaign. — Tori McElhaney, AtlantaFalcons.com
