After a failed pursuit of Deshaun Watson, the Atlanta Falcons are moving on from the most productive quarterback in franchise history.
Matt Ryan is being traded to the Indianapolis Colts for a third-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft, per multiple reports.
The No. 3 overall pick in the 2008 NFL draft, Ryan has been the Falcons’ quarterback ever since, starting 222 games in Atlanta.
The move gives the Falcons an extra Day 2 pick in this year’s draft, but leaves them without a starting quarterback for the first time in nearly two decades.
