The Atlanta Falcons have signed a trio of former Georgia Bulldogs to their practice squad.
Atlanta most notably signed linebacker Monty Rice, who failed to make the New Orleans Saints’ 53-man roster. Rice is a former third-round pick in the 2021 NFL draft. Rice recorded 10 tackles and forced a fumble with the Saints this preseason.
Rice has appeared in 35 total games over his NFL career and has recorded 128 total tackles. He played with the Tennessee Titans from 2021-2023 before he was waived in late 2023. The Saints claimed Rice off waivers, but he was unable to make New Orleans’ active roster.
The Falcons also signed former Georgia defensive lineman Zion Logue, who was a sixth-round pick in the 2024 NFL draft, to their practice squad. Tight end John FitzPatrick, who was a sixth-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft, also signed with Atlanta’s practice squad.
Linebacker Lorenzo Carter and tight end Charlie Woerner are the two former Georgia Bulldogs on Atlanta’s active roster. The Falcons now have five former Bulldogs!
