After defeating the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in back-to-back weeks, the Atlanta Falcons (3-2) can take control of the NFC South with a win over the Carolina Panthers (1-4) in Week 6.
On Monday, Atlanta signed veteran tight end Armani Rogers to the practice squad. The move came shortly after offensive lineman Andrew Stueber was poached from the Falcons’ practice squad by the Cincinnati Bengals. The team later signed offensive lineman Matthew Cindric to fill the final practice squad opening.
In other roster news, the team designated linebacker Nate Landman to return from the injured reserve list on Monday and activated him on Saturday. To make room for Landman, the Falcons released cornerback Kevin King. The team leader added King back to the practice squad.
