For the third time this month, a member of the Atlanta Falcons practice squad has been signed to another NFL team. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Green Bay Packers have signed tight end John FitzPatrick to their active roster.
FitzPatrick, 24, was selected by the Falcons in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL draft. The former Georgia Bulldog has appeared in just nine games, spending most of his time on the team’s practice squad. FitzPatrick has one career catch for 12 receiving yards.
Packers are signing TE John FitzPatrick off the Falcons’ practice squad and on to their active roster, per sources.

The Falcons lost two other practice squad members over the last ten days. The Buffalo Bills signed defensive tackle Zion Logue, and then offensive lineman Andrew Stueber was poached by the Cincinnati Bengals.
Atlanta signed offensive lineman Matthew Cindric and tight end Armani Rogers to the practice squad as replacements. The team must now sign another player to replace FitzPatrick.
