Atlanta Falcons edge rusher James Smith-Williams went down with an injury early on in the second half of Sunday’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He appeared to have an upper-body injury after making a tackle in the third quarter.
Smith-Williams was slow to get up initially and walked off the field holding his arm while talking to the team’s training staff. The veteran defender had been one of the only defensive bright spots during a game in which the defense struggled to get pressure on Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith.

Smith-Williams recorded the team’s only sack in Sunday’s loss. The Falcons suffered a few other injuries, mostly along their offensive line.
Center Ryan Neuzil and left guard Matthew Bergeron both exited Sunday’s game. Bergeron was ruled out due to a neck injury after being evaluated for a concussion.
Tight end Charlie Woerner also left the game for a concussion evaluation before returning in the third quarter. Check back on Monday for injury updates from head coach Raheem Morris.
