The awards keep rolling in for Falcons guard Chris Lindstrom as the former first-round pick was voted onto the Professional Football Writers of America‘s 2022 All-NFC team.
Lindstrom was also selected for the Pro Bowl and named to the AP All-Pro second team for his stellar 2022 campaign.

The fourth-year lineman is entering the final year of his rookie contract and the team could look to sign him to a long-term extension this offseason. Lindstrom wasn’t the only Falcons player recognized by the PFWA, though.
Rookie running back Tyler Allgeier was named to the PFWA’s All-Rookie team, along with Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker.
PFWA All Rookie Team
Offense
QB – Brock Purdy, SF
RB – Tyler Allgeier, ATL; Kenneth Walker III, SEA
WR – Chris Olave, NO; Garrett Wilson, NYJ
TE – Chigoziem Okonkwo, TEN
C – Tyler Linderbaum, BAL
G – Zion Johnson, LAC; Dylan Parham, LV
T – Braxton Jones, CHI; Tyler Smith, DAL— Football Nerds (@FootballNerds_) January 24, 2023
Allgeier rushed for 1,035 yards on 4.9 yards per carry with three touchdowns this season. The former BYU star broke the team’s rookie rushing record and appears to be the future at the running back position. This is even more impressive when you consider Allgeier was a healthy scratch for Week 1.
While the jury is still out on the team’s 2022 NFL draft class, Allgeier has proven to be an absolute steal as a fifth-round draft pick.
