Fake vintage wine floods London as police in France and Italy raid £1.67m fraud gang

Criminals are making millions flooding London with counterfeit fine wine so good the only giveaway is often spelling mistakes on labels, according to experts.

Jessica Dunn, a Southwark-based specialist “wine detective”, spoke out as French, Italian and Swiss police revealed they had broken up an $2million (£1.67m) international fraud ring passing off poor quality bottles of wine as vintages.
