A Louisiana woman who had idolised Jon Bon Jovi since the age of 14 lost more than $10,000 (around £7,478) to a scammer who used artificial intelligence to impersonate the rock star. He sent her personalised videos that carried out her instructions within minutes.

Leslie Pickett says the losses pushed her so far into debt that her home faced foreclosure. Her ordeal features in the National Geographic special 'Super Scam Me'. During filming, an ethical hacker traced the impostor's internet connection to Lagos, Nigeria.
