'Fake' festival plans for Wavertree fall flat

A “fake” festival that had hoped to come to Liverpool this summer has proved to be a dud after all.

A licensing application had been made to Liverpool Council by Fake Festival Limited to bring a one-day event to Wavertree Playground on Saturday, May 28. That application has now since been withdrawn by the company.

Jez Lee, organiser of the Fake Festival, told the ECHO that the application had been withdrawn owing to “timescales.” He said: “We would love to have made it happen but timescales were against us.”
