Fake embassy, government officials fleecing diaspora

Australian multicultural communities have been put on alert after scammers posing as Vietnamese officials fleeced locals of more than $100,000.

Police say criminals have targeted Chinese, Vietnamese and Indian communities, describing on Thursday a string of incidents where fraudsters purporting to be officials fleeced victims in Sydney.
