The Indian Army has cautioned about a fake email that is being circulated to all selected candidates from the Mysuru Recruitment Rally 2023.

“A recent case of forgery using the fraud email address in the name of the Recruiting Office (Headquarter) Bengaluru has come to light wherein a fake email with attached forged letter is being circulated to all selected candidates from Mysuru Recruitment Rally 2023 conducted by this Recruitment Office, Bengaluru,” said an Army statement.

It added that the fake email is being sent from the address ‘arobengaluruhq@gmail.com’ which does not belong to the Recruitment Office, Bengaluru.

The Indian Army has also asked all candidates to block this email address permanently and said that an FIR has been filed with the police.

“It looks like a case of forgery by mischievous elements. All candidates are requested to block this email address permanently. FIR against the same has already been filed in the Police Department and it is being assured that strict action is initiated against the culprits,” the note said.

It added that all candidates are requested to note that all communications are forwarded from the Recruitment Office to all the candidates by the official email address ‘arobengaluru@gmail.com’. “In case of any clarification, contact the Recruitment Office on their official email address or our official landline number - 080-29516517,” the note added.
