Fake Bloodborne Remastered tweet sends fans spiraling

Never under any circumstance should you crack jokes about a Bloodborne remaster. For real, please don’t do it, or we fans might cry.

Someone did the unthinkable earlier this week, and I’m still mad about it. Well-known games industry insider Nibel regularly breaks earth-shattering news. You’ve undoubtedly seen him on several of GLHF‘s posts here on ForTheWin. He’s an absolute legend. Sadly, Twitter refuses to verify his account, making it so trolls can easily impersonate him.

On Monday, someone did precisely that — donning Nibel’s trademark One Punch Man avatar and everything. Then, the monster tweeted that Bloodborne was getting a remaster. Regrettably, many of us fell for it. For a brief moment, my heart stopped working. Since that ill-fated day, the charlatan changed their avatar and handle, but the tweet in question is below.

The real Nibel set the record straight immediately after, shattering the hearts of Bloodborne fans worldwide.

That settles that. The (hunter’s) dream is dead.

Jokes aside, fans have wanted a Bloodborne remaster for years mainly because the game runs terribly on PS4. It always did. However, the aging action RPG would be no sweat for more powerful hardware like PS5 and modern PCs. In theory, anyway. Sony gave God of War and soon Uncharted new-generation ports, so where’s Bloodborne?

Setting the port-begging aside, Bloodborne fans are still reeling from the trickery. Below, you can bear witness to their collective pain.
