Facebook down? Thousands of users experience outages

  • Thousands of Facebook users reported widespread issues accessing the social media platform on Tuesday.
  • Downdetector, an unofficial monitoring site, recorded over 11,000 problem reports by 2:30 p.m. Pacific time.
  • The majority of complaints, exceeding 60 percent, were related to the Facebook website, while 16 percent concerned login difficulties.
  • Users experiencing problems were located across various geographies, including Marion County, Florida, Bangladesh and Greece.
