Time is quickly going to start to run out for all Premier League clubs as they look to conclude their summer dealings ahead of transfer deadline day. With September edging ever closer, the window closes for business at 11pm on Thursday, September 1.
Tottenham have been extremely active in the transfer market so far, bringing a total of six new players to the club well before the new term kicked off. Destiny Udogie also signed on the dotted line last week, but the Italy U21 international has returned to Udinese on a loan deal for the remainder of the season.
Things have also started to pick up in terms of outgoings recently, with Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele, both of whom were not in Antonio Conte's plans, joining Villarreal and Napoli on loan, respectively. More still has to be done regarding players heading out of the door, which in turn could then have an impact on more possible new arrivals in the capital.

Speaking to the media last Thursday as he previewed the Wolves game, Conte was asked about potential signings, and he made the club's stance perfectly clear.
"We're okay. But if someone goes away, for sure, another player has to come. Especially if some players want to go to play regularly, it's difficult to keep them here," explained the 53-year-old.
"But at the same time, it has to be very clear that if a player wants to go play, I have to replace this player. This is very important. We need to have a squad capable to face a lot of games until November. This is very important for me."
Moving extremely early in the transfer market this year to give Conte the players he wanted ahead of pre-season training, it hasn't always been the case at Tottenham in years gone by. In fact, they have tended to be very late movers in the market more often than not.
Even back in January, Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur joined from Juventus on deadline day after Fabio Paratici returned to his former club to snap up the duo on the cheap. However, the summer of 2017 is perhaps one of the standout examples of how Daniel Levy and the club would operate so late on in the market.
Failing to add to their squad nine days before the deadline, Davinson Sanchez and Paulo Gazzaniga were the first through the door after joining from Ajax and Southampton, respectively. Juan Foyth then followed from Estudiantes one week later, before Fernando Llorente and Serge Aurier joined the club on deadline day.
While there is, of course, a possibility that Tottenham could be very active in the final week of the window once again with a number of outgoings on the agenda, in a perfect world, Paratici and Conte will be able to do the bulk of their business this week to ensure there is not so much on their plate heading into the final few days. Having managed to part with Lo Celso and Ndombele over the past week, Harry Winks and Sergio Reguilon are the other two players not part of the head coach's plans that need to be moved on either on loan or permanently prior to deadline day.
It's not just the duo who could be on the move, though, as Bryan Gil and Japhet Tanganga have been tipped to exit so they can get some regular first-team football under their belt elsewhere. The former could be set to return to Valencia on loan after a successful spell there last term, with the latter seeing his name linked with the likes of AC Milan and Roma.
Exits for the pair could then see Tottenham look to add to their numbers, as Conte mentioned in his press conference last Thursday that any players squad departing his squad would need to be replaced. Now at the start of a brand new week, it could potentially be a key seven days for Paratici and the club with outgoings and possibly even incomings on the agenda.
Tottenham cannot find themselves in a position in the final day or two of the window when they are still trying to move on their unwanted players, especially with numerous examples in the past highlighting that there's no guarantee that moves will come to fruition. That's why this week is so important in the transfer market for Tottenham to ensure Paratici isn't left with an incredible amount to do as he looks to form Conte's dream squad.
