Fabio Paratici eyeing third Juventus transfer raid as Antonio Conte makes Tottenham 'request'

Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie this summer. The successful transition to English football of former Juve stars Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski is believed to have played a part in Spurs’ desire to sign a third player from the Italian giants.

This summer promises to be a busy one for the north London club, with Spurs boss Antonio Conte making no secret of his desire to strengthen his squad. Central midfield is believed to be one area the Italian is keen to add quality and depth to ahead of the new season.

The Lilywhites let a number of midfielders leave the club in January with Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso both departing on loan deals. Meanwhile, Dele Alli was allowed to join Everton on a permanent deal.

It remains to be seen if Ndombele and Lo Celso still have a future with the club, but regardless Spurs will want more options in that area. And according to Calciomercato, Conte has given the green light to pursue a deal for the 23-year-old. However, the USA international is currently out of action due to a metatarsal fracture.

Spurs managing director of football Fabio Paratici knows McKennie well as he brought him to Turin from Schalke when he held a similar position at Juve. The Serie A side are in the midst of a rebuild and are believed to be open to selling McKennie to further enhance their transfer budget.

Bentancur and Kulusevski both left Turin for the same reason and Spurs could be set to benefit again from Juve's desire to move players on. In total McKennie has made 74 appearances for the Bianconeri; scoring 10 goals and notching three assists.
