Antonio Conte's Tottenham look set to be very busy in the upcoming January transfer window as Fabio Paratici aims to help add quality options to the Spurs as he did last season. On the final day of the winter window in 2021, Spurs confirmed they had signed Juventus duo Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski and both went on to play significant roles in Spurs securing Champions League football for this current campaign.
Bentancur and Kulusevski almost instantly established themselves as pivotal first-team players making 18 and 17 Premier League appearances, respectively. Bentancur offered a consistent partner to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg for the first time since he joined from Southampton at the start of the 2020/21 season.
While Kulusevski made such an impact in the Premier League, scoring five goals and contributing eights assists, the previously described lethal front two for Spurs of Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min became known as a trio.
