Fabio Paratici and Tottenham know how to complete Luis Diaz transfer amid Liverpool links

Tottenham are interested in signing Luis Diaz from Porto this month, football.london understands.

Spurs have enquired about the 25-year-old's availability, with managing director of football Fabio Paratici understood to be a huge admirer of the Colombian.

There have been claims that Tottenham have made an offer to Porto, thought to be around €45million (£37.6million) for the winger, who is also said to be admired by Liverpool, but the north London club are remaining quiet on the situation at the moment.

Initially, Spurs were not targeting another wide player, but with the likes of Giovani Lo Celso, Dele Alli and Tanguy Ndombele all being linked with a move away, it could leave Antonio Conte light in the attacking areas.

With reports over a £37.6million offer from Tottenham, they may need to pay a fair bit more than that if they were to land Diaz's signature, with the Colombia international reportedly having a release clause in his Porto contract.

According to Portuguese news outlet Record, via Sport Witness, Diaz's termination clause of €80million (£66.8million) in his contract at the Estadio do Dragao, that runs until the summer of 2024.

If the north London club were to trigger this reported clause, then Diaz would become Tottenham's record signing - with Ndombele the current holder of that title, following his £53.8million move from Lyon in the summer of 2019.

Traore talks continue

Tottenham are yet to make an official move for Wolves winger Adama Traore, but talks over a deal are continuing in the last week of the transfer window.

football.london understands that Wolves previously rejected a £15million bid for the 26-year-old wide man, but there was an expectation that a deal would be struck between the two Premier League clubs.

Sources close to the player suggest that Traore is keen on moving to Spurs and that a deal will be completed in the very near future.

Whether it's Diaz or Traore - or both - it looks like it is going to be a busy final six days of the January transfer window at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
