Fabio Carvalho has opened up on the message he wanted to end Liverpool fans after scoring his first goal for the club.
Carvalho scored the Reds’ eighth goal as they won 9-0 against Bournemouth in their Premier League clash at Anfield. A brace apiece for Roberto Firmino and Luis Diaz, combined with goals from Carvalho, Harvey Elliott, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and a Chris Mephan own goal secured the victory.
The goal was Carvalho’s first since completing his summer move from Fulham. The 19-year-old latched onto a cross from Kostas Tsimikas to volley home his first Liverpool goal.

Speaking after the game, Carvalho explained the reasons behind his celebrations. After finding the back of the net, the teenager sprinted towards the Kop and jumped into the air with joy.
"You can see from my celebration I didn’t really know what to do, I just jumped and I was just happy, celebrating,” Carvalho told Liverpoolfc.com.
“I just wanted to give the fans something back because they have helped so much since I’ve joined, they’ve shown so much love.
"Hopefully I’ll be able to show them how thankful I am with my performances and goals."
