Rebeca Tavares has shown support for her midfielder husband as he scored a crucial goal for Liverpool FC tonight.
Liverpool's UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg against Villarreal still went ahead despite inclement conditions at the Estadio de la Ceramica, tonight. The Reds held a 2-0 lead on aggregate from the first-leg at Anfield last week thanks to an own goal from Pervis Estupinan and a Sadio Mane strike.
Villarreal were taking control of the game, securing two goals before Liverpool managed to land any shots. Dia opened the scoring, meaning that they took the lead within the first three minutes.
Francis Coquelin smacked a second goal into the top left corner, creating a nightmare for Liverpool.
However, Fabinho pulled one back for Liverpool. He rifled one through the goalkeeper’s legs bringing the score to 2-1.
His wife proudly watched on. She shared her excitement for her husband and the team and she posted on Twitter.
She wrote: "Come onnnn! What a goal!" Fans echoed her words as they flooded the comments.
Leonise said: "Please tell Fab thank you from us." Sarah said: "Please give him an extra tight hug from all us fans."
Meanwhile, Henry said: "I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, in a team full of world-class players who could be #1 on the team sheet, There’s nobody that makes it on the team sheet in front of Fabinho. For me. He is the key to everything."
