Andy Robertson looks back to his best in a Liverpool shirt.
He went through that period earlier this season where he was not quite at his top level, but what has followed is simply great management from Jurgen Klopp.
Allowing Kostas Tsimikas to feature at times has only pushed Robbo. The players are only human and we all go through bad phases as footballers where your confidence has slightly gone. With Andy, you just don’t know what it was. But he has come through it and has been brilliant the last few games.
His cross for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the Brentford game was probably the best ball I have seen this season, from anyone. He is just awesome. He plays the Liverpool play and like Joey Jones used to – he will go through a brick wall for you.

You have to thank Kostas for that too, because he has pushed Robertson to his limits. That is exactly why Liverpool always used to win so many trophies, they always had people in reserve pushing first-teamers to keep their place.
I used to play with injuries and get Cortisone injections because you knew if you didn’t play, someone would leave you stuck on the sidelines. There were times where I wasn’t 100% fit, and loads of others too, who played with injuries to make sure they stayed in the team.
Fabinho stepping up to the mark
Fabinho is certainly making a case to be the new penalty taker. He is a typical Brazilian from the spot, as cool as you like.
But, take it from me, Mohamed Salah will make sure he is back on them as soon as he returns from AFCON. To keep Salah and to encourage him to sign a contract, I would simply leave him as the penalty taker.
Fabinho has also scored two non-penalty goals this month and something rather interesting I noticed about this was that he usually finds the target from outside the box, but each of his recent ones have been scored inside the box.
It is a great sign, because you need goals from all areas.
