Leeds United have been handed a fine of £25,000 following their Carabao Cup second round tie against Barnsley last month.
The punishment relates to an incident in the 67th minute of the contest at Elland Road as Leeds full-back Cody Drameh clashed with Barnsley defender Liam Kitching. The incident sparked a sizeable melee involving players from both sides, which brought a halt to the contest.
John Brooks, the referee on the night, was forced to hand out yellow cards to Drameh and Kitching, while Leo Hjelde was also booked for his part in the scuffle. The FA charged both clubs in the aftermath of the game after deeming they had failed to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion.

Leeds and Barnsley have since admitted to breaking FA rule E20.1 and subsequently they have been hit with penalties, with Leeds being fined £25,000, while the League One outfit will be asked to pay £7,500.
"Leeds United AFC and Barnsley FC have been fined £25,000 and £7,500 respectively for breaching FA Rule E20.1 during their EFL Cup fixture on Wednesday 24 August 2022,” a statement published on Leeds’ website read.
"The clubs admitted that they failed to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during the 67th minute of the fixture. Both clubs admitted a non-standard charge and requested a paper hearing where the fines were imposed by an independent Regulatory Commission."
The fine comes just days after Jesse Marsch was charged by the FA for his behaviour on the touchline during Saturday’s clash against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium. Marsch was shown a red card in the game and he will have until Friday to respond to allegations of improper language and/or behaviour.
