The FA will investigate Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira after he was involved in an altercation with an Everton fan during the aftermath of Thursday's 3-2 Premier League defeat at Goodison Park.
Footage circulated at full-time showing the Frenchman being goaded by fans, with the Palace manager initially not responding before kicking out at the supporter before being ushered away by other Everton fans. When asked in his post-match press conference about the incident, Vieira said: “I do not have anything to say about that.”
The FA have opened an investigation into Vieira's actions as well as the pitch invasions from Everton fans, with stewards and police at the ground criticised for failing to anticipate or control the riotous scenes.
