F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2023: Race start time, grid positions, sprint results and how to watch on TV today

Charles Leclerc is back on pole position for today’s Azerbaijan Grand Prix despite failing to convert his front spot on the grid for the sprint race.

Formula One’s new weekend format sees the results from Friday’s qualifying session deployed this afternoon, after yesterday’s action focused fully on the first sprint of the season.

Sergio Perez won that mini-race but starts third in the F1 grand prix, behind Max Verstappen. Red Bull will still fancy their chances of catching the Ferrari in Baku, so long as they can hold off Carlos Sainz from fourth place.

Lewis Hamilton starts fifth on a track that usually doesn’t fail to provide entertaining races, with Fernando Alonso lurking behind in sixth as he looks to continue his streak of podiums.
