One of the strangest goals you'll ever see on a GAA pitch was scored in the semi-final of the Armagh Senior Football Championship on Sunday afternoon.
The goal, which was scored in the game between Granemore and Killeavy St Moninna, almost defies description. The incident happened in the 57th minute with Granemore leading by eight points to seven.
With the game in the balance, Granemore's Marty Carr takes on a long-range shot that appears to be drifting wide harmlessly. At the last moment, a huge gust of wind pushes the ball back into play and a Granemore player catches the ball.

But the Killeavy keeper, who like everyone else in attendance thought the ball was going wide, was nowhere to be seen and the Granemore man tapped the ball into the empty goal. Believing the ball had gone wide, the keeper had rushed to get another ball so that he could take a quick kick-out.
It was truly one of the most bizarre goals that has ever been scored on a GAA pitch. And while the keeper may take some stick for his error, it must be said that not many of his defenders noticed that the ball had stayed in play either.
The commentators on the game summed up the emotions of everyone watching perfectly. The sheer disbelief and borderline panic in the voices of the commentators is truly something to behold.
For Granemore, the goal put them firmly in the driving seat. For the remainder of the game, they outscored Killeavy by 1-1 to 0-2, with the scoreline reading at the final whistle 2-9 to 0-8 in favour of Granemore. They will face Crossmaglen in the county final in the coming weeks.
