CHANDIGARH: Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) director general Arvind Kumar said on Monday the exports through STPI units had grown from Rs 17 crore in financial year 1992 to Rs 5.69 lakh crore in financial year 2022.
The STPI DG was speaking at a function to celebrate the 31st foundation day of the STPI. “This has happened because we have been an enabler. We have never acted as a regulator. We have shown to this world that if you want to see the growth of industry, in place of regulating it, enable it,” he added. STPI is one of the arms working under the Union ministry of electronics and information technology working with the objective of encouraging software exports and nurturing the start-up ecosystem in the country.
