On Monday evening, an explosion illuminated the skies over Beirut, adding to the series of nightly strikes that have been targeting the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital since September 27. The incident was captured on camera, showing a brief but intense burst of orange light emanating from the targeted area.
Throughout the day, multiple strikes were reported in Beirut's southern suburbs. Approximately thirty minutes before the explosion, Avichay Adraee, the Arabic spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), issued a warning to residents about impending IDF strikes on two specific areas - Burj Al-Barajneh and Hadath. Adraee stated that these locations were in close proximity to Hezbollah facilities and interests.
In a subsequent statement, the IDF confirmed that the Israeli Air Force had conducted strikes on 'terror targets' linked to Hezbollah's Intelligence Headquarters on Monday night. The IDF also reported carrying out additional strikes in southern Lebanon and the Beqaa area earlier that day, targeting alleged Hezbollah sites such as weapons storage facilities, terror infrastructure, and a launcher.
The ongoing conflict in the region has raised concerns about escalating tensions and the potential for further violence. The situation remains fluid, with both sides continuing to engage in military actions that have significant implications for the stability of the region.
