'Exploitation': Australia criticised over Nauru deal

Australia paying Nauru some $2.5 billion to take unwanted former detainees has been has been criticised as cynical as laws pass to streamline deportations.

The payment begins with $20 million for when the first deportee is received and $388 million in a joint trust fund as Australia seeks to deport up to 354 people released from immigration detention because of a High Court ruling.
