Expert reveals how those in Scotland can maximise their annual leave for 2025
CEO and Co-founder of Kickresume Peter Duris has shared how workers in Scotland can ensure they make the most of their annual leave.
He said that a "healthy work-life balance is necessary for keeping burnout at bay" and that taking time off is an "important" part of that.
The expert added that longer uninterrupted vacations will always leave you feeling more recharged than a single day off here and there.
He said that "fortunately" for those in Scotland who "carefully" plan their days off, there are ways to "maximize" annual leave and still have a few days left for emergencies.
For starters, he noted that employees here can take advantage of the country's nine bank holidays.

He added that by taking nine days off in April, workers can get "almost double" the amount of time off.
Those looking to maximise their holidays should book April 14 and 17 off as well as the following week (April 21 to 25), which will grant a total of 16 consecutive days off. He said the same tactic can be applied throughout the year, adding that May, August, and December are the key months for this.
With the extra bank holiday on January 2, Scottish employees could request December 22 and 23 off as well as December 29 to December 31 and get an entire fortnight off to enjoy the festive break.
