Coronavirus vaccines have saved the lives of almost 30,000 Scots, a senior Government adviser said as he urged parents to get their children vaccinated.

National clinical director Professor Jason Leitch was speaking after First Minister Nicola Sturgeon confirmed the jag will be offered to primary school pupils in Scotland.
