With NFL free agency starting on March 13, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd will likely be moving on somewhere else since the team has already franchise tagged Tee Higgins and will be looking to spend its money elsewhere.
Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated answered questions from football fans and said in one he could see the New York Jets as a team that might look to add Boyd.
Aaron Rodgers missed the entire season after tearing his Achilles, so they will be looking to take advantage of his health right away since he’s into his 40s and they are wanting to win now.
The Jets already have some solid receivers, led by former rookie of the year Garrett Wilson, but as Bengals fans know, Boyd is a great receiver to have on the roster and he can still create problems for a defense even though he isn’t a No. 1 guy.
If Boyd ultimately does leave – which seems to be the likely scenario – it will end his eight-year tenure with the Bengals in which he caught 513 passes for exactly 6,000 yards and 31 touchdowns.
