MUMBAI: Former India women's captain Diana Edulji feels that the Indian women's team has a good chance of clinching the ICC Women's T20 World Cup trophy in UAE next month and ending their barren run in the World Cups purely as they possess plenty of experienced players in their line-up now.
Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, her deputy Smriti Mandhana, explosive opener Shafali Verma, middle-order batter Jemimah Rodrigues and all-rounder Deepti Sharma -who form the core of the Indian team-have all played in multiple World Cups in both the T20 and ODI formats by now.
