Who Will Be The Next Leicester City Manager?

Current Leicester City manager Steve Cooper only joined the Foxes in June 2024, having previously been at Nottingham Forest – however, after just an average start to the football season he’s always going to have one eye over his shoulder.

Therefore, the SportsCasting traders and best football betting sites in the UK are constantly updating their next Leicester City manager odds market, with a whole host of familiar names in the running, should Cooper be shown the door.

Could David Moyes Be The Next Leicester City Manager?

Since leaving West Ham at the end of the 2023-24 season, David Moyes has been linked with a number of clubs – with the most recent being Leicester City.

The Scot guided the Hammers to European glory when at the helm of the London club in 2023 but after a tough following campaign left West Ham.

So the fact David Moyes is a free agent – plus the fact he has bags of Premier League experience (don’t forget he was also at Everton and Man Utd) would make him an attractive proposition for any English top-flight side that find themselves managerless in the coming months.

Other Next Leicester City Manager Possibilites

Slightly older football fans will remember Mark Robins banging the goals in for Manchester United and Norwich back in the late 80’s and 90’s. But he also played over 55 times for Leicester City between 1995-98.

Therefore, with clubs often favouring a previous link back to the club, the best betting sites in the UK are also taking no chances on Mark Robins being the next Leicester City manager.

Robins was recently at Coventry (second spell), where he was in charge of 387 games and winning 154. Coventry and Robins, however, parted ways in early November despite being the longest serving Championship manager at the time.

Ruud van Nistelrooy and Lee Carsley Others Linked To Leicester City

Other names being linked to the next Leicester City manager – according to the odds – are former Manchester United assistant Ruud van Nistelrooy and Lee Carsley.

Van Nistelrooy caught the eye of many during his stand-in role at United after Erik ten Hag was sacked earlier this season and you feel it won’t be long before the Dutchman is getting a main manager’s role.

While another ‘stand-in’ boss of late – Lee Carsley, who held the England reins when Gareth Southgate left, is also in the top half of the market.

Commentary: sportscasting.com/uk spokesman Andy Newton, reacted to our Leicester City Manager Odds’ saying:

“Current Leicester City manager, Steve Cooper is not in trouble of losing his job just yet – but you feel that a few more bad results and the Foxes’ board might start to turn up the heat.

“Should Cooper go mid-season, then you feel Leicester will want a quick fix and experience to give them a fighting chance or avoiding relegation. So, with that in mind, the David Moyes would certainly fit the bill.
