Sheezan Khan, who was arrested on December 25 for abetment to suicide of his co-actor Tunisha Sharma, has been granted bail by Vasai Sessions Court. Tunisha reportedly died by suicide on December 24. The actress was found dead in a make-up room on the set of the TV show Ali Baba: Dastaan-e-Kabul. Sheezan, who played the male lead opposite Tunisha, was subsequently arrested following a complaint lodged by her mother, Vanita Sharma.
His lawyer, Shailendra Mishra says, “Sheezan has been granted bail on a surety of Rs 1,00,000. We are in the process of complying with the terms and conditions set out by the court and hopefully, he will be released today. Other conditions that he has been asked to abide by are not tampering with the evidence, influencing the complainant, and traveling without prior permission. He has been directed to attend trial regularly.”
