Several characters in Naagin 6 were bumped off recently to make way for a time leap. This also included Simba Nagpal’s -- the original male lead of the supernatural show. However, the actor is not disappointed. He says, “I am sure the writers and the creative team know the best. It was their call to end my track. I am not disappointed because it is not that they were done with me. Maybe, they had another offer for me, which could be one of the reasons for the exit. I was prepared to bid adieu to the show because I was informed about it in advance. Naagin has been a great stint for me during which I grew as an actor. I played two distinct characters and one of them was grey. I wasn’t sure whether I would be able to pull it off because I was nothing like him. So, it was a challenging task for me and I like to be pushed as an artiste. This experience has encouraged me to explore as an actor.”
Before Naagin, Simba was seen on Bigg Boss 15. He always felt that he wasn’t a cut out for it. So, he had his fill of reality shows? “When you are a part of television and are hustling, you realise that participating in reality shows is also important, as the genre exposes you to a different experience. I want to live to the fullest and for that, I have to explore everything. But I live for acting and I am extremely passionate about it. Reality shows are part of the journey, while the fiction genre is my true calling,” he replies, adding, “Having said that, the one reality show I absolutely desire to be a part of is Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi because I am not afraid of physical challenges.”
