The thunder of hooves and the clash of knights’ lances returned to Linlithgow Peel at the weekend.
Historic Environment Scotland (HES) hosted its Spectacular Jousting tournament for the first time since the pandemic, with a sold-out crowd enjoying a colourful spectacle of exhilarating horsemanship and living history.
The event saw people from across West Lothian and further afield visit the town to see the amazing spectacle take place.
Spectators could choose their champion as knights faced each other in the field.
And visitors watched the fearless knights battle it out in a daring display of skill and horsemanship.
