Aidomo Emakhu has played his last game for Shamrock Rovers, with his destination believed to be an English club.
Mirror online has learned that the talented 19-year-old striker said his goodbyes to teammates in the dressing room on Sunday after Rovers’ final game of the season.
Emakhu came off the bench with 22 minutes remaining in a 2-0 win over UCD.

The Ireland underage ace quickly became a fan favourite at Tallaght Stadium and scored some crucial goals for the Hoops during his time in the senior side.
He made his debut in May 2021 against Derry City and later that summer netted a home-leg winner in the Europa Conference League clash with FC Teuta.
Emakhu followed that up with goals in the Champions League this season against Bulgarian side Ludogorets and in the Europa League against Shkupi.
Targeted in the past by clubs from the continent, including Serie A, he opted to remain at Rovers and complete his Leaving Certificate at Moyle Park in Clondalkin.
He still has another year to run on his contract, so Rovers will get a fee for the young striker from the as yet undisclosed club.
