A bistro in Arnold has residents excited to ‘support another independent business.’ With some saying they hope the high street will continue to grow stronger, it is unknown when the bistro will open.
On 84 Front Street is where Sully’s Bistro is. The premises was formerly the Revival Coffee Co which closed down due to rising costs at the end of 2022.
The former owner of Revival Coffee was ‘heartbroken’ to have to close down. People in the town have shared their thoughts on the newest addition to the area’s food and drink scene.

Angela Pitt, 51, lives in Arnold. She said: “I have not a bad word to say about any of the independents down in Arnold so it’s nice to see more cropping up.
“I don’t think clothes shops go down well in Arnold so I’d rather see more eateries. I always rotate where I go with friends in Arnold.”
The payroll manager said: “Sometimes we go to Amelia’s Cafe, other times Costa and we like Refresh too. The new bistro is on the way to Asda too so they’ve got a good spot, people can’t miss it.”
The shop name Sully’s Bistro is believed to be named after the owner, Suleyman Basar. Paul Smith, 49, lives in Woodthorpe. Paul, who works in a warehouse, said: “I wish them luck, it’s not been easy opening up places since coronavirus.
“I think when anywhere new opens, people rush to try it out and then it dies down a bit so hopefully this new place can keep it up.”
Paul continued: “I’m happy to support another independent business in the area, I always do.”
Alexander Hall, 26, lives in Arnold. He said: “Many food and drink places do well and that’s why there’s so many, you can’t complain.
“I’m big on eating out so I have my fingers crossed here does good food.”
