The Met office has forecast that a 'warm air plume' will send temperatures soaring across the UK this weekend and Leeds is set to bask in some of that heat.
According to the forecaster, the weather front will push out the area of high pressure that has brought settled weather across the country over the last few weeks. This will mean a high chance of some thundery showers and unsettled weather across the city even as temperatures climb.
In Leeds it is expected that temperatures in some areas could reach as high as 25C on Saturday afternoon. They will hit similar levels on Sunday with the forecaster predicting a high of 25C again in some areas.
