Storm Dudley is expected to batter Scotland later this week, forecasters have warned.
The storm will hit large the majority of the country on Wednesday night and into Thursday morning.
A further storm, which has been named Eunice, is also expected to bring strong winds to southern Scotland with a chance of snow on Friday.
The Met Office has urged Scots to check the latest weather and travel conditions before setting off from Wednesday onwards.

When will Storm Dudley hit Scotland and when will it end?
Gusts are expected to pick up across the country from around 3pm on Wednesday, February 16.
Forecasters have suggested that the conditions could worsen for areas of the central belt and southern Scotland from around 6pm the same day. The worst of the winds is expected to die down by 9am on Thursday morning.
Storm Dudley is expected to pass Scotland at around 6pm on Thursday evening, according to the Met Office.
How high will the winds get?
The Met Office is expecting winds to reach 60 to 70mph in large parts of the country during Wednesday and Thursday.
Gusts could even exceed that in the most exposed coastal areas, with forecasters warning that winds could pick up to 80 to 90mph.
Areas expected to be hit the worst
A yellow warning is in place for the majority of Scotland on Wednesday afternoon all the way through to Thursday evening.
An amber warning has been put in place for the central belt and southern Scotland from 6pm on Wednesday until 9am on Thursday.
The Met Office has also issued a ‘danger to life’ warning as part of this amber alert.

What do we know about Storm Eunice?
Storm Eunice is expected to hit the south of Scotland from midnight on Friday until 9pm on the same day.
Forecasters have warned of winds reaching 80mph in the most exposed areas, with a chance of blizzard conditions at points.
A yellow warning has been issued for the likes of Dumfries and Galloway, East Lothian, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scottish Borders and West Lothian.
