The exact time and date Queen Elizabeth will arrive in Edinburgh has been confirmed, after a route was mapped out for her journey from Balmoral.
Her Majesty will be brought from Balmoral to Edinburgh on Sunday, September 11, after Buckingham Palace announced the monarch had passed away on Thursday at the age of 96.
With her death beginning Operation Unicorn, plans for the procedures detailed that the Queen would be taken to the Palace of Holyroodhouse, before being moved to St Giles Cathedral.

Earlier this week, Edinburgh Live reported that the Queen would arrive in Edinburgh on Sunday, with a procession to take place on Monday, September 12.
The BBC have now reported that Her Majesty's coffin will leave Balmoral at 10am, and will head through Aberdeen, via Stonehaven.

From there, the procession, which is expected to see thousands line the streets, will go around Dundee before heading down the M90 and over the Queensferry Crossing.
Arriving into Edinburgh from the bridge, the procession will enter from the west of the city, before heading down the Royal Mile at around 4pm to enter the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
No further events will take place on Sunday, with the procession to continue back up the Royal Mile to St Giles' on Monday, where a service will occur.
King Charles and other members of the Royal Family are expected to attend the service, at which point the Queen will lie in wake at St Giles' for 24 hours before being taken to Edinburgh Airport.
The coffin will then be flown back to London, where preparations are already underway for the official funeral on Monday, September 19.
