Edinburgh is to get a flypast on Wednesday from a legendary RAF plane to mark its official retirement.
The Hercules is the RAF's chief tactical transport aircraft, that has shipped storage all over the world and is due to fly over the city on June 14.
Three of the iconic planes will take to the skies with millions of people over 23 locations across the UK having the chance to see the heroic aircraft in flight.

The flyover is due to leave Lossiemouth air base at 12:51 with a Typhoon escort. According to Councillor, Scott Arthur, it is expected to travel around Edinburgh at around 1 pm - 1.20 pm.
It is expected that many people will recognise the aircraft due to its prevalence on television during operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The first Hercules arrived in Cambridge in 1966 and will officially retire from service on June, 30 2023. Until its last day in the skies, it will be used to support defence objectives of the country.
