Dion Charles' first strike in a Bolton Wanderers shirt was evidence of why the Whites moved to sign him and it could prove to get him firing in front of goal for his new club.
That's the view of former West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Reading midfielder Jobi McAnuff.
Charles became Bolton's first signing of the January transfer window when he joined for an undisclosed fee from Accrington Stanley.

He scored his first goal for his new club yesterday on the road against Shrewsbury Town in a 1-0 victory.
The Northern Ireland international struck as full-time approached in Shropshire, lashing home a sublime effort from the edge of the box which flew past Marko Marosi in the Salop goal.
Prior to moving to Wanderers, Charles had not played for old club Stanley due to a standoff over signing a new contract at John Coleman's side.
Speaking as a pundit on the EFL highlights show on Quest, McAnuff believes the goal Charles scored against Salop is the quality of those he did at his old club.
He feels it was evidence of why Wanderers moved to sign the striker and McAnuff believes it could get him firing in front of goal more regularly in a Bolton shirt.
McAnuff said: "He's been frozen out during his spell at Accrington, but this is what we have seen him do there before.
"That's what made Bolton sign him and I think for him, when you haven't been playing, you see that excitement and enthusiasm that scoring goals brings you and I'm sure it'll get himself going now."
