A former US Air Force pilot has pleaded not guilty in court to allegations he was caught with sexual images of children.

Robert Prussak, 57, was charged on Wednesday following a Metropolitan Police investigation into indecent images of a child found on an electronic device, the force said.

At Westminster magistrates court, he appeared in the dock to plead not guilty to one count of possessing indecent images of a child and one count of making an indecent image of a child.

It is said an indecent image of a child was in his possession between October 17 and December 10 last year, and he is further accused of having a category A moving image of a child on April 22 this year.

Category A covers the most serious level of child sexual abuse.

Prussak spoke to confirm his name and date of birth in court, and gave his home address as being in California. On the court file, he has an address in Chelsea against his name.

Prussak was remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at Isleworth Crown Court on November 27.
