Eoghan McDermott has split from his long-term girlfriend Aoife Melia, according to reports today.
Eoghan and Aoife first started dating as students in UCD, but broke up when Aoife moved to Glasgow to study medicine. The pair later reunited and Aoife moved into Eoghan's south Dublin home back in 2017.
However, according to Extra.ie, the couple have now gone their separate ways. Aoife is said to be dating the heir to the Tayto Crisps empire, Charlie Coyle.

Aoife and Charlie have been seen attending weddings together and have also gone on some luxurious holidays together.
Eoghan once had a very successful radio career at RTE, however back in 2021 he suddenly disappeared from the radio waves. RTE released a statement that read: "RTÉ confirms that Eoghan McDermott will not be returning to RTÉ 2FM."
However before Eoghan's shock exit, the presenter and Aoife appeared to be in a great place. Eoghan once even suggested marriage was on the cards.
"The second time on the merry-go-round now. We have talked about all that [marriage] but Aoife has been in college for 14 years and she literally only graduated a few years ago.," he said at the time.
"She wants to travel a bit so I think there's a bit more living and travelling to do before we settle down into the more mundane things and grow a bit older. We have talked about it and it is certainly in the future but it is not imminent."
Almost a year after Eoghan's departure from RTE, he released a statement.
Mr McDermott said: "A few months ago, false allegations were made about me. Despite not being investigated or verified, these allegations were spread widely, the effects of which I am still processing. I hope the below can close this chapter. At the request of and with consideration for the other party to this dispute, I will not be commenting any further on this matter."
Eoghan included a letter issued by Mary Cowhey Solicitors, representing his accuser, to his own solicitor, Paul Tweed. The letter said their client had admitted to making false allegations against the presenter.
